mojo2012
Hi guys, I have the following system: Mainboard: Intel DH77DF Intel Core i7 3,09 GHz Graphics card: ATI/AMD Radeon HD 6570, 1 GB RAM Audio: ALC898, HDMI Audio 16GB RAM 700GB Hybrid SSD drive Clover boot (EFI mode enabled in BIOS) Fully working installation of OS X 10.9: Full 3D acceleration HDMI sound Sleep with my DSDT The story: After destroying my working OS X installation by trying to update to 10.8.5, I decided to to install OS X 10.9! I downloaded a bootable usb stick image from a known source (search for "OS X Mavericks 10.9 GM bootable USB for Intel PCs") and booted off of the stick. Unfortunately I couldn't get past the language selector. So I removed (and backed up) the files AMDRadeon*.kext (they are for 3d acceleration, I think) and finally I was able to install on my GPT partitioned drive. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get past the login screen, or to be exact, I couldn't even see the login screen. I only saw a white screen with a mouse cursor. After days (really!) of googling, I had mostly found only useless hints on the internet, indicating that my Radeon HD 6570 was not working properly. But I refused to believe that it was my graphics card as there was no obvious error in the kernel log. In safe mode the system was booting but some essential drivers and utilities didn't work (e.g. msdos.kext for mounting the EFI partition). So I decided to only load the safe mode kexts in normal boot mode. As I didn't know how to do that, I deleted all kexts that were not loaded in safe mode. But this caused my system to kernel panic in normal mode. So in desperation I simply deleted all kexts and copied over the kexts from my installation usb stick! ... and the system booted in about 15 secs to the login screen. I was baffled. So I copied back the AMDRadeon*.kexts for 3d acceleration and wow, IT WORKED! So I seems that the hanging on the login screen was indeed not caused by the graphcs driver, but by some other kext. After successfully booting I installed the ##### drivers for USB 3, intel NIC and the ALC898 kext (without dsdt) to fix the last remaining problems. My clover efi drivers: csmvideodx emuvaribleuefi fsinject hfsplus osxaptiofixdrv osxfatbinarydrv partitiondxe vboxext2 bvoxext4 vboxhfs Attached you'll find my DSDT file and the clover config. If you wish, I can share more details and configs/files if needed. DSDT.aml.zip clover config.zip
