  1. Hi! As some of you may know, the AMD hackintosh scene isn't dead! Thanks to our genius developers (AnV, Sinetek, Nawcom, R:A:W:X86 and others... ), we now have ability to boot SL on AMD machine, WITH ARCH=x86_64! This involves some patching and tricks, and doesn't YET work on all AMD boxes. UPDATE: Sinetek just released a new kernel for Athlons and other Pre-Phenom CPUs! NOTE: After successful 64-bit boot (System Profiler -> Software -> 64-bit Kernel and Extensions: Yes), please post your processor in this topic. Confirmed processors: Phenom II x6 1090T Phenom II x4 965 Athlon II X4 645 Athlon II x4 640 Athlon II x3 435 Athlon X2 250 Athlon 64 x2 4000+ Requirements Working 10.6.8 installation, with either AnV or Nawcom legacy kernel Phenom II or maybe some other processor with L3 cache. Doesn't work with Athlons yet. Amd_insn_patcher to get patched dyld and other files. Backups, if you don't want to start everything from the start again. A little bit of brains, I think about 10 grams is enough. Installation Make sure you have backup of your HDD etc. I'm not responsible if you lose any of your data or if anything happens to your hard- / software. This may, or may not work. Don't do this if you have a working i386 -force64 system and you're happy with it. This kernel and other stuff is purely experimental, not stable release. Continue only if you have understood this. Let's start the process. Boot your hackintosh with AnV or Nawcom kernel, with arch=i386 and -force64! The patcher will screw your installation if you don't boot with -force64. Download the right kernel for your CPU, don't replace your existing kernel with it, just put it to the root of your HDD Patch your dyld and other stuff. Only works if you booted with -force64! Google more instructions for patching. This version of patcher works for me. Edit your boot.plist, change kernel to "sinetek" and arch=x86_64. No need for -force64 anymore. (or try with manual bootflags first) MAKE SURE ALL YOUR KEXTS ARE 64-BIT! This could work (not on Mac atm, can't test), x86_64 means 64-bit. Try to reboot. If it fails, reboot and type your bootflags in the Chameleon screen like: legacy_kernel arch=i386 -force64 Post problems / successes here and I'll try to help you. 2. Hello Guys! I have ran into a weird situation here. My DELL 7720 SE laptop had some power problem on the motherboard (as told by the service center guys) which made my system unbootable. They replaced the motherboard. I brought it home and obviously, tried installing OSX using the Time Machine Backup. It restored correctly. Used all the same files/ config as earlier but the system couldn't boot up. It boots in safe mode, but no QE/QC. When I delete the Intel HD4000 Kexts and SNBGraphics etc kexts, the system boots up, again w/o QE/QC!!! Now, what in the world has gone wrong?? I have updated the BIOS to the latest A16. Is the new motherboard different than the earlier one? Basically, Intel HD4000 is not working....... I am trying get it work on OS X 10.9.2 I tried latest Chameleon Bootloader with DSDT=Null and tried all IntelCapriFB=1-11 EnableDualLink=Yes/No, GraphicsEnabler=Yes/No SkipNvidiaGfx=Yes.. All except one gave me Black Screen... IntelCapriFB=4 was the best one as the Intel Graphics was detected correctly with 1024Mb VRAM...but No QE/QC.. The graphics is obviously crappy without QE/QC... I checked the loaded KEXTS and found that AGPM is not loading.. FramebufferCapri and HD4000 kexts are loading with IntelCapriFB=4.... Also, clover Bootloader is not able to find my Mac volume, yes, i have the HFS related driver in CLover... tried both Vbox and HFSPlus...!!!!! So using chameleon on the USB as I have windows in UEFI mode with GPT partitioning. The older DSDT worked flawlessly (thanks to Lejenk) Somehow the same DSDT has stopped working after the swapping of motherboard..... System has Intel HD Graphics 4000 and NVIDIA GT650M in optimus.. CPU is 3rd Gen Intel Core i7 3630QM.. HDD is 1TB partitioned as GPT... with windows 8 installed in UEFI mode... Please help!
  3. Hackintosh Spectre XT 15t-400 Touchsmart Sierra For complete info go to my repo https://github.com/joaquinperaza/Hackintosh-HP-SpectreXT-15t-4000 This i just a future discussion post. I want to contribute as thank of all your help. I made this repo to collect all related info about this laptop. I am not using other dsdt or ssdt patches than clover ones, but I am open to your contributions. Where to start: Have a Mac? So prepare a USB using your preferred method, you can choose: Clover (Base guide Dont have a mac? Dont worry you can use a virtual box machine in your HP: To set up the vm use: http://www.wikigain.com/install-macos-sierra-10-12-virtualbox/ I discovered and posted how to run usb intaller in VirtualBox VM using Linux/Windows host:https://www.reddit.com/r/hackintosh/comments/5zks4c/create_sierra_bootable_usb_from_virtualbox/ I followed this guide that was the most similar to this model: https://www.google.com.uy/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwiT2KW8v9HTAhWGIJAKHRtkAZIQFgggMAA&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.reddit.com%2Fr%2Fhackintosh%2Fcomments%2F5pwtdd%2Fhp_spectre_xt_pro_13b000_running_macos_sierra%2F&usg=AFQjCNEXuPraFVEtqD7am308-wVd7ssCZQ So I did it with UxxxBxxx, with this options: UEFI Mode and Inject Intel USB installer tunning: After completing the UxxBxxx installation donwload clover configurator and add the settings that appear in cloverconfIMG folder. PD:You should also select -v (verbose) flag in boot section in first tests. PD:Ignore ket patches for the moment Copy the drivers inside the drivers64UEFI folder to your EFI/CLOVER/drivers64UEFI folder. Copy the kexts from the kext folder to your EFI/CLOVER/kexts EXCLUDE VoodooHDA inside kext/10.12 folder. Sierra install: Now you're ready to run Sierra installer (if you are lucky the only issue you would have is no mouse and keyboard during install). Follow normal instructions for install OSX. Key points: Disable Secure boot in bios and disable legacy, enable cpu virtualization Boot vith -v flags in first tests. Post installation: Install those 'post install kext' with EasyKext Pro: VoodooPS2Controller.kext (Enable mouse and keyboard) USBInjectAll.kext (enable touchscreen and webcam) Dont install the optionals fixes yet. Reagarding audio i have tested to solution: Apply AppleHDA patched kext (Inside other files folder) //No microphone Use VoodooHDA installer and add the VoodooHDA inside kext/10.12 folder to clover. VoodooHDA provide microphone and beats audio but less quality and no volume. Hdmi fix: The plattform 0x01660004 dont have connectors, but is the onlyone compatible with our screen, so I patched the HEX table for you to make our screen compatible with 0x01660008 wich natively support our HDMI port. Just delete AppleIntelFramebufferCapri.kext from your System/Library/Estensions folder and immediately install the one inside kext folder/optional fixes with EasyKext Pro Then add this kextspatches in CloverConfigurator: | Name | Find | Replace | Plist checked? | | ------ | ------ | ------ | ------ | | AppleIntelFramebufferCapri | 04006601 01030101 00000002 | 04006601 01020402 00000004 | NO | | AppleIntelFramebufferCapri | 05030000 02000000 30020000 00000000 01000000 40000000 00000000 01000000 40000000 00000000 01000000 40000000 00000000 00000000 | 05030000 02000000 30020000 02050000 00080000 06000000 03040000 00040000 81000000 04060000 00040000 81000000 00000000 00020011 | NO | Wifi fix: Unfortunately our Intel Centrino N wifi card is not compatible i bought an Atheros AR9285 AR5B95, just replace and add install kexts inside Atheros AR9285 AR5B95 Sierra with EasyKext. | Name | Find | Replace | Plist checked? | | ------ | ------ | ------ | ------ | | AirPortAtheros40 | pci168c,30 | pci168c,2b | YES | Author Disclaimer: The majority of the software is public on the internet, I only have patched some files and wrote this guide, I am not responsible of any possible damage to your PC, do it at your own risk despite I consider it worth it. GTX 780

quick how to: install 10.8.4 install latest chameleon (svn trunk) set "GraphicsEnabler" to "No" in org.chameleon.Boot.plist (setting this to Yes will make the login screen not show up!) add "nvda_drv=1" to your "Kernel Flags" install and enable R313 nvidia drivers (http://us.download.nvidia.com/Mac/Quadro_Certified/313.01.02f01/WebDriver-313.01.02f01.pkg) this should be the point where you swap your old graphics card with your gtx 780 or: install 10.9 install latest chameleon (svn trunk) set "GraphicsEnabler" to "No" in org.chameleon.Boot.plist note: if you're using an intel main board and can't even reach your bios or boot loader (just a "0_" in the lower right corner of your screen), you'll have to update your gtx 780 to a newer bios: http://www.evga.com/forums/tm.aspx?m=1944772 (I'm not sure that this will work on non-EVGA cards and I have no idea if other vendors have updated bios versions for their cards). opencl is known not to work (driver issues, need to wait for newer drivers), cuda (5.0 and 5.5) does work however. original post:
  5. hello yall! i was lucky enough to get maldon help for this asus h97m-e/csm build with a core i5 4440 and 16GB ddr3 (MSI GeForce GT710 2GB)...was updatable till 10.14.3...but i got the update to 10.14.4 right when it was available, n it didn't work...everything booted nicely, but after verbose i got a black screen, just like the one i got with mojave/high sierra when i didn't had the latest smc... i think it might be that, the fakesmc, but i couldn't tell if it aint the nvidia graphics board...nvidia is now out of hackintosh game i guess...but this gt710 is very compatible, n i don't think they changed the requirements in the middle of a build... also now on 10.14.3 i can't log to App Store...dont know why, cause i was checkin that app on the daily, n never got a problem under 14.3 (i can log in iTunes and books, seems there's a problem with 14.3 for App Store i didn't realize before) everything is nice besides that, n i whipped the drive n reinstalled mojave, then i updated to 14.3 with the update combo dmg from apple...i can only think of your help guys, since the fakesmc´s didn't update no mo lately (rehabman´s)...

    audio randomly working

Hi there, I have a Gigabit EP31-DS3L with Realtek ALC888. I used the auto patcher method for my DSDT and installed the legacy appleHDA kext. The audio works fine sometimes, but sometime it doesn't. I can still see the audio card and control the volume, but there will be no audio output. If I reboot the computer, then it will start to work again. Sometime I need to reboot multiple times, and sometimes I can boot 5 times in a row without any problem. The issue doens't occur after sleep or anything, it appears straight after boot I'm planning to get dmesg and kernel+ system.log next time I got the issue, but i'm wondering if anyone have a better idea ? PS: I am running 10.7.4
  8. A few years back I used to run 10.4 with Jas boot discs and the like. Upgraded to 10.5 for a little while before restoring windows and giving the computer to my parents. I got bored the other day and set out to install 10.6.8 as vanilla as possible. I thought I'd share my working system for anybody who might still have one laying around, etc. Dell Dimension 4700 3.0Ghz P4 HyperThreading Intel ICH6 SATA boot drive, PATA DVD drive and data hd. E/E ACPISensors, AHCIPortinjector, ATAPortinjector, FakeSMC,Sleepenabler devices-properties string is only used to get app store working even after ethernetbuiltin=yes, dsdt edit, and ioreg confirming builtin. **WARNING: DSDT is using NVIDIA 6600 edits, nvcap needs to be changed for your card. Used DSDTSE** - Anyways onto installing, using any tutorial found on this forum, I created a snow leopard usb boot drive. - Installed (ps2 keyboard working in install, mouse didn't but used keyboard shortcuts to do entire install process), rebooted with USB boot drive, installed 10.6.8 combo update, installed chameleon and moved files to respective places. - Currently I have the kernel, (test 8 is the name i used to differentiate from test7 but I cant remember where its from) in the root of the drive - Booted off the install hd, run system update, update including security update, make sure edited kexts are still in S/L/E (if using S/L/E). -Had to delete AppleEFIRuntime.kext from S/L/E and then kextutility otherwise I get a kernel panic - Reboot and should be completely updated and fully working system. 9. I have the strangest problem, looked everywhere and haven't seen anyone having such issue. I installed iAtkos ML2 and it works OOB. I then updated using the combo update 10.8.3 - it now supports my graphics card. no errors, no freezes, installation and update went through peacefully. problem: after the update, just before showing the logon screen I get a full white screen on both monitors but the mouse cursor still works. I can see it configured resolution and dual monitor settings correctly as the cursor size is the right one and I can move it to and from the second monitor. I had a feeling this white screen was just a curtain and tried typing a few keyboard shortcuts and clicking on places I knew there was something that could be clicked and it works. the system is fully functional behind the white screen. I am still able to see the desktop if I boot in safe mode but then I lose graphics acceleration and USB devices don't work as they should. any help is more than appreciated!

  11. Hi guys, I have the following system: Mainboard: Intel DH77DF Intel Core i7 3,09 GHz Graphics card: ATI/AMD Radeon HD 6570, 1 GB RAM Audio: ALC898, HDMI Audio 16GB RAM 700GB Hybrid SSD drive Clover boot (EFI mode enabled in BIOS) Fully working installation of OS X 10.9: Full 3D acceleration HDMI sound Sleep with my DSDT The story: After destroying my working OS X installation by trying to update to 10.8.5, I decided to to install OS X 10.9! I downloaded a bootable usb stick image from a known source (search for "OS X Mavericks 10.9 GM bootable USB for Intel PCs") and booted off of the stick. Unfortunately I couldn't get past the language selector. So I removed (and backed up) the files AMDRadeon*.kext (they are for 3d acceleration, I think) and finally I was able to install on my GPT partitioned drive. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get past the login screen, or to be exact, I couldn't even see the login screen. I only saw a white screen with a mouse cursor. After days (really!) of googling, I had mostly found only useless hints on the internet, indicating that my Radeon HD 6570 was not working properly. But I refused to believe that it was my graphics card as there was no obvious error in the kernel log. In safe mode the system was booting but some essential drivers and utilities didn't work (e.g. msdos.kext for mounting the EFI partition). So I decided to only load the safe mode kexts in normal boot mode. As I didn't know how to do that, I deleted all kexts that were not loaded in safe mode. But this caused my system to kernel panic in normal mode. So in desperation I simply deleted all kexts and copied over the kexts from my installation usb stick! ... and the system booted in about 15 secs to the login screen. I was baffled. So I copied back the AMDRadeon*.kexts for 3d acceleration and wow, IT WORKED! So I seems that the hanging on the login screen was indeed not caused by the graphcs driver, but by some other kext. After successfully booting I installed the ##### drivers for USB 3, intel NIC and the ALC898 kext (without dsdt) to fix the last remaining problems. My clover efi drivers: csmvideodx emuvaribleuefi fsinject hfsplus osxaptiofixdrv osxfatbinarydrv partitiondxe vboxext2 bvoxext4 vboxhfs Attached you'll find my DSDT file and the clover config. If you wish, I can share more details and configs/files if needed. DSDT.aml.zip clover config.zip

  13. I've seen many people on the internet asking if this laptop card would work on an Hackintosh installation. In theory, this card *must* work beacause is just a HD 5470 rebranded, and we know that this card works even with 10.8 vanilla kexts. In practice, well, it's the same thing. First of all, a BIG thanks to K52JR hackintosh project guys http://code.google.c...2jr-hackintosh/ who helped me to install an original Mountain Lion on my Asus K52JU laptop, which is the same model, except an U insted of a R and a HD 6370M instead a HD 5470. Basically you have just to add 0x68E41002 to PCIMatch in your vanilla AMDRadeonAccelerator.kext (beware, search first for "Cedar" cards section) and ATI5000Controller.kext. Then you must use an exact display override by finding your screen EDID (if you own a K52JU like me, you can use my override in attachments to avoid the hassle) and restart the PC with GraphicsEnabler=Yes and AtiConfig=Hoolock. First time the screen will show scrambled, so plug a VGA screen in your laptop and select a proper resolution. You are done. If you never did some kext patching, EDID editing and similar stuff, first read this http://www.insanelym...howtopic=208410 and this http://wiki.osx86pro...t_Patching_List If you cant find a proper resolution, first install SwithchResX and create a custom resolution and refresh rate for your screen while you are under GraphicsEnabler=No. http://www.madrau.com/indexSRX4.html I advise you to use the -v option every time you boot. Working X-fi Titanium

Hi all, I've had allot of problems trying to get my X-fi Titanium PCI-e sound card working with Leopard and Lion. Finally It seems I found the correct plist settings for everything to work properly. I'm using the latest VoodooHDA from here (v.2.7.3) Installed the driver and moved the kext from the Extensions directory to the contents of the voodooHDA loader which can be found here Don't forget to replace the Info.plist file inside the kext contents for the correct pin configuration etc. I removed the loader from my login/startup items, but it will probably work without having to start the loader manually. You can still use the VoodooHDA preference panel to switch to SSE2 after the voodoohdaloader has finished. This helps when you have to play multiple sound sources and you hear the sound crackle and pop To get surround working you need to create an Aggregated Device. Guide can be found here On every boot switch between the Aggregated Device and back to Line-out (Green Rear) while you're playing something (yes very strange) It's a kind of a hassle but you'll get great sound every time And probably important to mention, I disabled my onboard sound card in the BIOS and checked if the HDEF device was missing in my DSDT Hope you can finally enjoy using your X-fi Titanium on the mac just like me!
  17. below post what works for you in details and what does not work this should make it simple for devs everything works for me from audio to network even my 290x works
