hansei
Hello, My system worked perfectly with 10.8.3 but I needed to upgrade to 10.8.4 to use the latest version of Logic Pro. After upgrading, OS X boots, but with some errors I'd like to solve. After upgrading I used Pandora Post-Instalation. Before upgrading I did a backup of the "System/Extensions" folder. I've tried installing the AppleHDA from the backup folder with Kext Utility, but the sound assertion related to AppleHDA keeps appearing. Any ideas? Regards. artur_pt
hello try to rebuild kernelcache boot -f -v if boot without problems restart that rebuild the cache good hack
hansei
Obrigado, artur-pt I rebuild kernelcache using Pandora. I still had "Extensions.mkext", so I get rid of it and added "UseKernelCache=Yes" to org.chameleon.Boot.plist. That seemed to work well because all the "refusing new kext" errors disappeared. Besides, the "virtual bool IOHIDEventSystemUserClient" error also disappeared. Now the only errors remaining are "Sound assertion in AppleHDA" and the "CODE SIGNING: cs_invalid_page(0x1000)" errors. I've tried installing back the AppleHDA from 10.8.3, but the error remains. I don't know what else I could do. Regards.
hansei
It's really strange, because I was using the standard AppleHDA from Mountain Lion 10.8.3, without any changes. The only kext I've added is ALXEthernet; everything else is unchanged. I don't understand why upgrading to 10.8.4 causes AppleHDA to fail.
hansei
Solved. I deleted AppleHDA.kext and run myFix within myHack application. I thought AppleHDA was an essential kext, but it isn't.
