Hello,

My system worked perfectly with 10.8.3 but I needed to upgrade to 10.8.4 to use the latest version of Logic Pro. After upgrading, OS X boots, but with some errors I'd like to solve.

After upgrading I used Pandora Post-Instalation. Here's the dmesg:

considerRebuildOfPrelinkedKernel com.apple.NVDAResmanWeb triggered rebuild

-- End dmesg --------------------------------------------

As you can see, there are several "Refusing new kext" at the start, and at the end, "Sound assertion in AppleHDACodecGeneric at line 360", the three "CODE SIGNING: cs_invalid_page(0x1000)", "virtual bool IOHIDEventSystemUserClient::initWithTask(task_t, void *, UInt32): Client task not privileged to open IOHIDSystem for mapping memory (e00002c1)", and finally "considerRebuildOfPrelinkedKernel com.apple.NVDAResmanWeb triggered rebuild".

Before upgrading I did a backup of the "System/Extensions" folder. I've tried installing the AppleHDA from the backup folder with Kext Utility, but the sound assertion related to AppleHDA keeps appearing.

Any ideas?

Regards.

Obrigado, artur-pt :)

I rebuild kernelcache using Pandora. I still had "Extensions.mkext", so I get rid of it and added "UseKernelCache=Yes" to org.chameleon.Boot.plist. That seemed to work well because all the "refusing new kext" errors disappeared. Besides, the "virtual bool IOHIDEventSystemUserClient" error also disappeared.

Now the only errors remaining are "Sound assertion in AppleHDA" and the "CODE SIGNING: cs_invalid_page(0x1000)" errors.

I've tried installing back the AppleHDA from 10.8.3, but the error remains. I don't know what else I could do.

Regards.

It's really strange, because I was using the standard AppleHDA from Mountain Lion 10.8.3, without any changes. The only kext I've added is ALXEthernet; everything else is unchanged. I don't understand why upgrading to 10.8.4 causes AppleHDA to fail.
