1. Hi team, I'm looking for the best route to achieve this upgrade, so I have been stuck with HS since Nvidia drivers stopped being supported on newer MacOS releases. Now I'm having an AMD 5700 xt on the way and want to plan the upgrade properly. I have added some information below and questions that might help with your recommendation. Current GPU 1080 ti with Nvidia webdrivers installed. So should I uninstall the webdriver before adding the new GPU? Clover is being used and EFI attached. Any kext must be removed? or parameters adjusted MacOS HS 10.13.6, should I upgrade before using the new GPU? CPU: 9900K Motherboard:ROG MAXIMUS XI HERO (WI-FI) Dual Monitors I have a Time machine backup, Do you recommend a fresh install? and If I did, will I be able to restore my data/apps as-is? Please let yourself free to explore further aspects to considers. EFI-20200204.zip
2. Dumb question, but ... if I already have these kexts installed to /L/E: AppleALC.kext FakeSMC.kext IntelMausi.kext Lilu.kext USBInjectAll.kext WhateverGreen.kext XHCI-unsupported.kext Do I also need to copy them to Clover/kexts/Other when upgrading from 10.14, and then delete them ( as they are not currently in Clover/kexts/Other)? And do I need to set config.plist/SystemParameters/InjectKexts=Detect so that Clover will inject all applicable (depending on version) kexts in EFI/Clover/kexts/Other only if FakeSMC.kext is NOT in kernel cache.
3. I have a late 2012 Mac Mini i5 Dual Core which came with 4GB RAM, been using it since December '13. I decided to Upgrade the RAM (Memory) to 8GB and bought 'Two Corsair Value Select 1600 MHz' 4GB RAM sticks and upgraded it to 8GB about a week and half back. Currently Running Mavericks 10.9.3 Since then I have experienced that the Mac during some youtube videos, hangout video calls (Chrome Browser) etc crashes and I get the 'Grey Screen asking me to press any button to Restart screen'. It happens atleast once daily sometimes twice. today it happened a lot. I've checked the 'About Mac' memory tab says 8GB with both sticks working fine. Even ran a Apple Hardware Test this morning and got a clean result. Can anyone help me with this? thanks

Upgrade a Mavericks

5. 6. I'm running Mac OS X 10.6.8 within VirtualBox 4.3.2 on a Windows machine with an i7 processor. I would like to upgrade my OS to Mavericks through the App Store. When I try to do so, I get the erroneous error message that my processor does not meet the new operating system's requirements. Any ideas on how to resolve this issue?
8. Hi, i want to buy "Broadcom bcm94350zae" for my laptop is this compatible with macOS Mojave?
9. Hello everyone, I was able to install macOS Sierra 10.12.6 a few months ago successfully with working audio, internet, etc. But now I want to upgrade to High Sierra and am not sure whether or not it will be compatible with my system. (Tried to do it using a High Sierra USB. Wouldn't boot into installer, showed "+++++++++++++" or something.) My specs are: Dell Optiplex 3010 Intel Core i3-3240 @ 3.40GHz (HD2500 Integrated Graphics) 4GB of RAM NVIDIA Quadro FX1800 (Want to use this GPU, have an extra Radeon HD7470 somewhere that I can also use in this if needed) Conexant CX20641 Audio Realtek RTL8111E Ethernet So, can I upgrade to High Sierra? Please let me know. EDIT: I kept getting this error: (See attached image) Thanks -Discount_Mac

12. Hi fellows of this great forum. I am currently learning some programming so my time to investigate on hardware for my beloved good old Hack is very little. Specs are as follows: Gigabyte EP45 UD3LR (LGA775) Intel Core Quad Q6600 Custom case made out of a 1995 Pentium and some acrylic. 6GB RAM NVIDIA Geforce 210 1GB BCM94360CD with custom PCI adapter WiFi and Bluetooth working awesome Artic CPU Cooler with Heatsink 2 yellow 20" fans Custom made power button I would like to upgrade its CPU and its GPU, to the maximum of its capabilities, with Mac OS X compatibility. What CPU and GPU would you reccommend without breaking my wallet? Thanks ever so much
13. Hey all i have my retail copy of Snow Leopard installed using VMWare Workstation 8. I paid and used ##### to copy the Mountain Lion to a USB thumb stick and used that inside the VMWARE workstation Mac Snow Leopard OS. (i just used the DMG image and not the program itself) It opened up and started to install but about 33% it does the "need to restart" blah blah. I did that a few times and still came up with the same resulting screen. What am i doing incorrectly and how to i correct it so that i can upgrade it?
14. Hi guys, I bought a used Mac 2015 pro with a basic 120 GB SSD. I'm considering upgrade options for it and want to have a 500 or 1TB option for it. Basically apple has put a excruciating price tag for upgrades so I am considering sintech adapters and a standard NVME M2 SSD installation. My question is, aside from Samsung 970 EVO, will other options such as WD Black NVME or SanDisk SSD work? I'm not after huge write speeds, just after storage and decent performance. Samsung is a little bit expensive. Thoughts?

Upgrade query using MacPwn

I currently have High Sierra running on my Hackintosh, which I installed using MacPwn. Now, there is an update on the App Store about Mojave. When I clicked download, it didn't download any large file that it did with earlier installations. I am guessing it's a web installer? Anyway, can I upgrade directly using the installer (I have not started the download as there is no point if I can't) or can I upgrade using the MacPwn Mojave installer? Or is my only option is to do a clean installation of Mojave? TIA.
17. Hi I hope om in the right subforum here. Yesterday i accedently upgrade my hackingtosch to latest sierra version. 19. Hi team, I shouldn't touch my hackintosh but...today i try to upgrade from 10.7.4(or 3) to 10.7.5 but i'm stuck on startup: Could someone help to fix it? My config is attached Chamelon v2.1svn r1909 Many thanks, hackintosh.txt
20. I currently have mavericks running just fine using clover as the bootloader. When I upgrade to Yosemite, will I need to change anything besides the boot option for kext dev mode? Do I need a special version of clover? I'm hoping the upgrade will be seamless...

23. I have decided to try and install OSx86 on my old lappy since Linux has became slower for my laptop. I have gotten Mac OS X Tiger beautifully running and updated it to 10.4.11 without any hitches. Now, I found out that many applications do not work on Tiger and needed Leopard to work. I checked the minimum specs for Leopard and I slightly above the minimum requirements for Leopard. So currently, I have two questions. 1. Will Leopard work on my laptop? And if it does, will there be a performance hit or no performance changes? Tiger runs fine on my laptop and pretty fast. 2. Can I upgrade my current Tiger to Leopard in some way? And will kexts from Tiger work on Leopard? Laptop specs: Compaq Presaio 2200 1.4GHz Intel Celeron Processor 512MB RAM 40GB HDD Intel 825/855GM Graphics Chipset (QE not supported on Tiger)

25. I hope this isn't against the posting rules. I know I can't offer to pay, but I'll offer a crate of wine if anyone can do an on site visit (I'm in south London) - because I am beaten. This Hackintosh is still running Mountain Lion. OS X 10.8.5. Support is ending (e.g. the Chrome browser will no longer update for it). So I need to update the OS at long last. I have the El Capitan install software/ disk image downloaded and ready I have already installed a 2nd internal 128Gb SSD and have cloned the main disk onto it and successfully booted from it. I've followed this process: Tonymac links - Read our Rules And I have a USB install prepared. But I can't boot to it, so I can't install El Capitan. It appears to be this issue: https://www.reddit.com/r/hackintosh/comments/3xfyok/cant_find_mach_kernel_el_capitan_boot_error/ But I cannot even find mach_kernel - or even the System/Libraries/Kernels directory. [Yes - I went to Terminal and toggled visibility of hidden files: it's not in system/library that I can see. I _think_ I may have installed the wrong bootloader, but I don't really know what I'm doing. I'm willing to pay (or barter, if payment is a bad thing) whatever the going rate is for a couple of hours of your time to fix it - if anyone can help me. I've already spent at least 12 hours on this and have got nowhere. I'm worried that if I try anything else, I may brick the PC and I need it for work. TIA, Hoddy PS: my current specs: Model Name: Mac Pro Model Identifier: MacPro3,1 Processor Name: Intel Core i3 Processor Speed: 3.29 GHz Number of Processors: 1 Total Number of Cores: 2 L2 Cache (per Core): 256 KB L3 Cache: 3 MB Memory: 12 GB Boot ROM Version: Tonymac links - Read our Rules SMC Version (system): 1.30f3 Memory 12 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 2 SSD drives (64 and 128Gb) and three HDDs - one 2Tb and two 1Tb.
