In the log file, it said that couldn't load kext AMDRadeonAccelerator... and many kext failed to load. My graphic card: ATI Mobility HD Radeon 5430. Best regards. I can change desktop background, view dashboard with ctrl + arrow key. You don't say what you use for boot but you will need injection to force a different frambuffer. I'll assume you are using chameleon; try GraphicsEnabler=Yes AtiConfig=Eulemur . You can also add atiports= arg for the number of ports you have. If you can attach an external monitor you could set your main display and it will be saved. Keep in mind that each frame buffer used will keep its own preferences set for window server.
