iDerf2006 Posted October 1, 2006 Share Posted October 1, 2006 After updating my MacBook Pro to 10.4.8, it seems to refuse going to sleep. It won't sleep by pressing "Sleep" in the apple menu, nor closing the lid. The screen goes dark for a few seconds, than it simply appears again. Anybody help? Please? rollcage Posted October 1, 2006 Share Posted October 1, 2006 do you have any external devices connected to your system? try unplugging them and see if that works. then we can get into how to make it sleep with them plugged in. also, you did the two restarts after the update, right? The same thing happens on my Leopard and Windows Partition. It's not that it takes a bit longer to go to sleep, it's that it takes a second to go to sleep, then it wakes up again in an instant.
