Hi, I have a 7970 Ghz (Vapor-x) and I would like to inject it into DSDT to use the right framebuffer (so it will show in about the mac not 7xxx but 7970)

I tried it using this guide http://rampagedev.wordpress.com/2012/12/04/about-amd-7970-working-with-full-qe/ but I don't know how exactly inject it.

So I attached my DSDT here and could anyone patch it for me?

Thanks.

Well, your DSDT works better :-) , OS X recognized card fully properly (even slot number). Thanks for helping

Out of the show.

Do not forget that.

Indeed - hail to Rampage Dev and Rogiervd...

Maybe I can get also a proper DSDT injection, please?

Well, first my story:

How to get a proper IOreg file, after having only a partly working Hackintosh? With partly working I describe two different situations: first, one that works with the 7970 but only a few MB of graphics (not really properly recognized) OR second, a system that works in -x mode. Would one of them deliver a proper enought IOreg file?

Thanks for your help!

PS:

I have:

- MacOSX 10.8.4

Sapphire ATI Radeon VAPOR-X HD 7970

Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H

What is working:

With Chameleon I can use my Mac via the Gigabyte graphic card - but only on a "basic graphic mode" with ATI7000Controller.kext removed and GE=No.

With installed ATI7000Controller.kext and GE=No it is only working in -x mode.

With GE=Yes it shows quickly after start a Memory allocation error.

On my wish list:

A working MacOS with a full support of my HD 7970.

:)
