Do it as spare time, Clover works from 10.6 to macOS 15 for now,  its not an emegency, like  before.

Clover has its advantages as OpenCore has its advantages. but it would be a huge + to use only Clover, then maybe with new future again.

I think the community would rediscover this magnificent bootloader!  And it would be up to everyone to put it back in the front.

One thing I know is that the community loves Classic Mac themes like those from OpenCore, they should be reintegrated into the Packages (PKG Installer) and let users choose which themes they want to use.

The thing we never were able to get is good documentation. In my opinion, that's what makes OC more popular. It's simpler to start with the Dortania guide than with what we have, I suppose.
If there is a need for a fix, let me know.

My personal preference of Clover because it provide Boot Options which's user friendly and easily to test different parameters.

But up to now Legacy booting Clover still had two bugs:

1. It can not save complete Boot-Args of NVRAM

2. It got boot-loop during update of Big Sur, Monterey, Ventura, Sonoma, & Sequoia, etc.

I hope these two problems can be solved ASAP then Clover would be the perfect bootloader for my hackintoshs !

@Max.1974  Hello my dear friend, I tried the file you sent me, it does not show the name of metal2 and bootclover. I remember using my old machine, it showed the correct name, but this new machine does not show the correct value anymore.

I update Clover now and this show up to me.

Hello, the binary I use is just to put the bootloader information in About this Hack.

Is only bdmesg, and i have no knowledge of how to install it on Legacy computers, I believe it requires very advanced knowledge. 

Maybe you can try at your own risk,  compile Clover with XCODE8, (not need install Xcode 8, its part of building, and unless I'm mistaken it would be for older PCs. 

There is a page on github where the executable still works like a charm.

Unzip and double click in abuild file (Xcode last build release for your macOs available, and last Python release are required)

The complete Clover folder will be created in HOME > build

Hi @PG7 I don't understand what you mean. Do you want to install manually these tools ! When you update Clover: CLOVERPKG install them at the right place. Take a look below details of the package:

1. Unzip Clover V2 folder compilation

 

2. You will need Change only this folders:

3. Change too only this files:

Drivers > off > UEFI:

 

ApfsDriverLoader.efi

HFSPlus.efi

Openruntime.efi

 

or

VBoxHfs.efi ** 

 

** (if not prefer use HFSPlus.efi instead, I use this) 

 

Replace FakeSMC.kext 

 

 

 

 

Here i installed smooth and 10 seconds to boot on my Raptor Lake
