TomA2
YES, see my post http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=27164 Thanks for your post. I saw that thread, but I was hoping that someone else might have gotten it working. I want to buy a SATA drive, but: 1. hiren's boot cd doesn't run for me. It just errors out no matter which option I choose. I have no idea why. 2. Also, my JaS 10.4.7 DVD cannot be booted directly. I am forced to use the VMWare install. Again, no one can tell me why. TomA2
Booting perfectly off SATA on my 945GNT. No hacks, cracks, or smacks needed. That's good to hear. Which install method and OS version did you use? Did you install direct from DVD or using the VM Ware method? Kevlar
I have an Intel D945GNTLKR, and I can boot, install, etc perfectly with JaS 10.4.7 repack iso. Just reinstalled this weekend, no problems. Ever since 10.4.3 I have had 0 problems with my SATA drive. My SATA drive is plugged into SATA 0 port. Make sure it's set as your first boot drive in the bios, the bios likes to make your IDE drive first boot if you have one plugged in. TomA2
That's a good idea. When I get my SATA drives I am going to make the IDE book windows and the SATA boot Mac. Then I'll just use the BIOS to switch when I need to do so. Does anyone have a RAID working with the SATA connections?
