xllcoreyxll
Hey guys I'm new to Hackintosh and I'm wondering if my build is compatible with OS X. Motherboard: Gigabyte H61m-usb3-b3 Processor: Intel Core i5 2500K Ram: 8GB Wireless: Netgear WG111v2 USB adapter (I also have a Netgear Rangemax WPN311 internal card I can use) I'm not sure of the Ethernet or sound card and I don't have a graphics card. Thanks for your help! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279678-is-my-build-compatible/ Share on other sites
Foxic
The i5 2500k with intel HD3000 graphics is fully supported under 10.6.8 Snow Leopard and later. Prior to 10.6.8 you will need a patched kernel. Run lspci, iasl and lsusb from an ubuntu terminal to get the device IDs of your hardware. 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279678-is-my-build-compatible/#findComment-1825917 Share on other sites

Foxic
Download Nawcom's ModCD/USB and either burn to disk or restore to a USB sick Boot from the ModCD/USB Press F8 to interrupt the boot process Insert a 10.6.3 Snow leopard retail disk Press F5 to refresh the available media Select the install DVD Type -v Press enter If you get a kernel panic, take a photo and post it up.
