Try running Disc Utility and fixing permissions on your hard drive. If a Universal Application runs only through Rosetta, it's often a permission issue.

I have a feeling you're running 10.4.1 or 10.4.3... which can't run anything compiled for 10.4.4+

Camino and FireFox are both universal. Mozilla's applications have been uni-bin for a while... old news.

If you have any issues, you might want to look at this forum:

It's especially helpful if English isn't your main language.

Apple has edited their recent programs to hide the "run using rosetta" option in programs that are universal. It's assumed that the program will run natively, so people shouldn't need to see the option for rosetta. It just makes things simpler.

You have two options:

1- Upgrade to a new version of Tiger (you're 7 builds behind! 10.4.1 is old)

2- Just be happy using Safari and accept the fact that many other apps won't run on 10.4.1.
