Did found: /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/Bom.framework/Versions/A/Bom: unknown file type, first eight bytes: 0xFE 0xED 0xFa 0xCE 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x12 Trace/BPT trap" Now pleaaaaaaaaaaaase help me on this, I repeat I want to install the Mac OS X on my hard drive and I have 2 HDDs and I repeat again I have bought the Mac OS X DVD and I didn't download it's image but I've downloaded the Darwin 8.1 Thx in advance. this is my E-Mail: alireza.it@gmail.com Please send me any instruction or link that you can. Rammjet
You can't install OSX from an Apple install DVD onto a PC. The OS has to have many patches in order to work on a non-Apple computer. rogabean
wait we need more clarification?!? What disc did you buy? You say PearPC and you say VMWare.. those are two different things. Which are you using?!? If you bought a retail OS X disc for PowerPC you need to use PearPC and can not install natively. You can not buy a retail disc for x86 so the point is moot. Alireza
hi again, this is all the information that you want I've bought the DVD that is used to install Mac OS X on the iMac Computers and the disc's format is not recognized by windows. I made an iso image and used it to install Mac OS X on the PearPC but I saw that it's speed is very bad!! so I tried to install it to a native disc. I started to search the net and found a text file that described 6 ways to install Mac OS X so I followed the ways that I could I didn't download any image but darwin 8.1 cuz I wanted to use my own DVD so if you can help me on this please send me an instruction. Thx everyone. for those one that do not know about this file I upload it I don't exactly know the difference between the Mac OS X and OS x86 if there is, I wonder if I can install Mac OS from my own DVD and don't download the related image from the internet. please tell me if there is a way to do that. Note: I don't have access to the high speed internet connection and downloading the 2GB image may take about 3 days of my time (My speed is 256Kbps). Here is my computer information: CPU: Intel Pentium 4 CPU 3.00GHz L2 Cache: 2MB LGA 775 Full HDD: 160GB SATA + 20 GB (Another Disk) VGA: ASUS + ATI 128 MB PCI Express OS: Microsoft Windows XP SP2 RAM: 512MB DDR Geil installosx86.zip installosx86.zip Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/27431-ive-bought-dvd-bu-i-cant-install/#findComment-187832 Share on other sites

The only MacOSX install DVD that you can buy is for Macs with the PowerPC processor. Apple has not yet sold an install DVD for Intel processor computers. And even if they did, it requires extensive patching to make it work on a non-Mac PC. 3 days to download is not bad. Some people spent weeks to get a disk image. SaberSHO
Your disc will not install on that system natively. It can run in PearPC. There is no amount of fiddling or patching that will make that disc work. Your only option is to download a disc image of an OS X x86 install disc.
