Chemicalrubber Posted January 4, 2012 Share Posted January 4, 2012 Ciao, I have an Intel i7 processor with Intel HD 3000 Graphics, as well as an Nvidia GT 540M card which is not supported, but detected in Lion. As I suspect that Geforce.kext is giving random kernel panics at boot (apparently due to unresolved dependencies), is it safe to remove the kext, while keeping the QE/CI and higher resolutions in the Intel HD 3000? Gringo Vermelho Posted January 6, 2012 Share Posted January 6, 2012 Well obviously you can't use an nvidia card if you have removed the drivers for it. If you want to use another nvidia card you'll have to find a way to prevent the drivers from seeing the GT 540M, either on injection level or driver level.
