Ciao, I have an Intel i7 processor with Intel HD 3000 Graphics, as well as an Nvidia GT 540M card which is not supported, but detected in Lion. As I suspect that Geforce.kext is giving random kernel panics at boot (apparently due to unresolved dependencies), is it safe to remove the kext, while keeping the QE/CI and higher resolutions in the Intel HD 3000? Also, what other kexts should be removed? (I suspect NV* and Ge* kexts)

Well obviously you can't use an nvidia card if you have removed the drivers for it.

If you want to use another nvidia card you'll have to find a way to prevent the drivers from seeing the GT 540M, either on injection level or driver level.
