Clayf700 Posted September 16, 2011 Share Posted September 16, 2011 hello, this is my first hackintosh project and i have an AMD Radeon HD 6700 series Video card. Right now my resolution is at 1024X768. and it really sucks, so if you could help me find out how to get my video card working that would be awesome! Anyways, i have a pretty good guess that these are the 2 kexts. for one reason as i was updating to 10.6.7 it gave me these error messages claiming that these 2 kexts stopped working so here they are: -ATI4800Controller.kext -ATIRadeonX2000.kext if you guys could help me build them that would be nice. so i'll be sure to give you guys a link to my kext files, thank you! Gringo Vermelho Posted September 21, 2011 Share Posted September 21, 2011 Of course it doesn't. EFI Studio is several years old, his video card is brand new. Don't use EFI Studio on modern systems. It is fine for 2009 and earlier type distros/installations, but this is 2011 and things don't work that way anymore and you can cause more harm than good with EFI studio if you don't know what you're doing...which you probably don't, if you're using that type of tool in the first place. The same goes for OSX86Tools, don't use these "make everything easy for noobs" tools that are two years old unless you're using an installation method or a distro of the same vintage.
