fluxo
Thanks for the info, anyway i solved my problem installing a lion release using #####. Audio works by using ##### AppleHDArollback combined with AppleACPIPlatform.kext of snow leopard. I tried this solution that permitted me also to enable Volume slider sound that with voodooHDA was constantly high, and to use correctly also mic, both headphones that switch audio automatically when i plug them in (before, i had to go in the system config/sound to switch between speaker and headphones). Voodoobattery made my battery works properly... Sleep and speedstep enabled as i explained before in this topic... No DSDT edited for the moment, but everything seems to work properly but SDCardReader and USB3: I have to put pc in sleep and then wake it up to make usb3 working otherwise OS freeze, but when i do this no webcam is detected by photobooth or facetime, it seems like a power management problem, but i still don't know how to solve it. For everyone who want to try to mod the INSYDE BIOS this is what you will have under MacOS and everytime u will enter the bios and modify something under Win7: To make wifi working i changed the pci card (AR9285) and modded this f***in' bios (NEVER AGAIN AN INSYDE BIOS PC!!!!!!!), but everytime i restart or shut down i have to remove all the batteries (main and Bios) and ac adapter and wait about 20 seconds to make pc works again (when it restarts bios will show you a nice 502 checksum error and reboot normally), still waiting for a solution... If you have some idea on how to solve these problems pls let me know Thx G. @fluxo try also MRSDumper.kext to see if the steps are working properly and search the web to see an average benchmark score of a system with similar hardware as yours hi all, thanks a lot for the info and the feedback, i´ve try the speedsteeper, it´s patched and deleted the nullcpumanagment from USB/E/E (only can boot from USB, Boot=0 error on HD boot) , but still didn´t wake up. he sleeps but he dosen´t wake. the van starts working but there is no screen wake up. tonight i´ll try the msdumper and put a report for you to see. my benchmark score is 7300. best regards to all
DavidB3
I think you don't need all, you only Lion image and replace kernel (for kernel pached) and extra folder (more or less 100mb ) Thanks for your answer. Yes, I have the lion image ... Can somebody please upload these stuff? greets DavidB3

Ok, let's start from the beginning... Hope not to be offensive, but sincerely i can't understand what's going wrong with your procedure... So... did you run speedstepper in the right way? 1. Go to this link and download the one for lion 10.7.2 http://www.insanelym...howtopic=258611 2. after you downloaded it, double click to extract the zipped file 3. open terminal and go in the directory of your downloaded file (cd Downloads) ( I'm not a unix expert so also this for me has been difficult... if you press TAB key after the first letters of the word you are typing, terminal should complete what are you writing, for example "cd Do" and then TAB should complete in "Downloads", P.S. Terminal is key sensitive and could also have ambiguity in first letter so continue typing if pressing TAB doesn't work) 4. After step 3 type this (use TAB to complete it will help you not to wrong the path...) sudo ./speedstepper /System/Library/Extensions/AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext/Contents/MacOS/AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement 5. This procedure should end with a smiley on your terminal... That's what i did on the terminal. Then I delete NullCpuPowerManagement and put generates P and C states in org.chameleon plist That's all... My scores passed from about 5500 to about 6800, but i have i5 so... I've read anyway that i7 has something like over 9000, 9500 ,but you should check the same CPU as Y Attached there is my o.c.B.p. Hope this will be helpful G. org.chameleon.Boot.plist.zip

gabrielepizza2010
Hi fluxo, did you change the kernel??? with lapic_kernel right (http://www.osx86.net/view/1945-os_x_lion_kernel_lapic_native.html)? Cause if you didn't, maybe this is the problem... Unfortunately i don't know exactly what speedstepper does during his run... so arrived at this point you have two way you can follow... - One is making a clean installation (and that's what i did and what i suggest to you, in fact, after installing for the first time appleworm package nothing was working properly on my lappie, and i was full of flags during the boot!!) using ##### and a copy of lion from appstore... (I have the procedure of how i did it but is in italian, and i hope to have some time to spend to translate it in english for everybody...) - The second is to ask some speedstep guru to help you (cause i just follow the procedure to run speedstep) Good luck! I still don't understand what's going on but it seems something related to energy management (or DSDT edting?) i don't know... Anyway if you find out something more let me know... Bye G.
