MoBo is Gigabyte P55-USB3 Thanks in advance for your help some vendors turn the option off even if the cpu has the capability. Bewaring customers from playing too much.. All a thing of support. Toshiba has also disabled Hardware VT on my c2duo and it is just not available. I dont know but if these Mac Products have the demand to run VT then it seems that Apple has it enabled on their EFI powered boards. But regarding virtualization : Vmware Fusion runs without : choose "binary translation" as the method in vmwares prefs. It is slower but at least it works. ( Microsoft made the same mistake when they came up with their "xpmode" for Windows7pro users.. it turned out that 50% of all users even on new machines had no HW-VT because of such nice vendor / OEM censorship. So MS released the xpmode thing to work now without VT in Win7Sp1. ) dreams versus reality .
