johnny5k
Hey-- I wanted one too so I made one from an image from WD's site. I included green and blue versions, in both Mac & Windows formats; as well as the Photoshop PSD if you want to mess around with it some more. Hope you like them! Here's a preview: I used Photoshop, and then Iconographer to make the icons. Make sure you reverse-out your masks when pasting them into Iconographer. --J5k like this one? dtruett
How can I turn a .icns file into an icon? I have the WD My Book Terabyte. They have an .exe file for Windoze icons, but not for Mac. I have a nice jpeg of the drive. I can put it into Adobe Image Ready and make the background transparent, but no matter what the format, I only see a page with the file type at the top of the Get Info window, even thought the Preview looks perfect. Same with .psd, .jpeg, .icns, etc. How can WD NOT come with a Mac icon???

dtruett
You many be interested in the Apple Discussion thread below. I sent my WD back for various reasons. Soon after, I was unable to mount a blank DVD in my SuperDrive. After some searching, I found that a file WD inserts is the problem. Left me with not-so-good feelings toward WD. http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?t...=0&tstart=
