VooD
Hi, does anybody know wether power management in GTX 470/ 560 ti cards is working?. I mean, I don't want to have the card running at 3D clocks (almost 400 Watts for a full system) while I'm using 2D applications. On the other hand, what about ATI's (specifically the 6870). Is power management working for them?. Thanks in advance. gotmilk70
Check this out. This app shows you CPU and GPU temps as well as CPU Voltage and clock speeds. This should show you how hot your GPU/CPU is getting! http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=247185 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/262725-is-power-management-working-on-gtx-470s560-ti-cards-in-lion/#findComment-1724976 Share on other sites
rominator
In the AGPM / Fermi freeze fix thread there is a way to figure out what state your card is at. I just run OpenGl viewer. When test starts you should see scores jump from hundreds into thousands when card "kicks in" If it always starts in the 1000s then throttling may not be working.
