MacHD
It'll still install on a PPC mac afaik, but it's 99.5 percent dead. I just did a search on my Leopard install and I could not find any sign of classic. Not even the prefPane or anything which is usually on a Tiger install even without having actually installed classic. From what I can tell, classic won't make a showing in Leopard. Perhaps this is just me being optimistic. :-P
MrDee
My understanding is Apple stopped shipping Classic with OS X since version 10.3, but you can still install it if you already have a full copy of the Mac OS 9 disk. Question, for persons running Leopard on PowerPC Macs, can you still install OS 9 if you use classic especially in the most recent builds? Have you tried upgrading say from Tiger PPC (with Classic installed) to Leopard PPC to see if it still works. All PPC Macs including the G5 sold from 2003 to its discontinuation up to August 2006 are said to run Classic just fine. Thank you
