FerrariF1
Hello all I just made my first Hackintosh but I'm having difficulties with it at the moment, after booting up everything works fine for the first couple of minutes but then the system just starts to go downhill from there it gets slow, and by slow i mean youtube videos stutter the dock lags. I had read in some other forums about disabling speedstep in bios which does make it more consistent but i end up with 1.00ghz of 1.66ghz processing power:( please please help. And also sorry if posted this on the wrong forum. Thanks in Advance ps i used leppy700m guide and Snow Leopard 10.6.3 from bestbuy Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/259859-dell-latitude-d620/ Share on other sites

dothacker
are you using 1 core or 2 cores? how much ram do you have? and if you have 1.66 ghz on a dell d620, i'm sure you have the older motherboard which has 945 chipset. maybe DellMart will come in here and put his thoughts and ideas. And yes its the 945 chipset. Initially when i first installed it, it took about 3hrs to install. I tried a fresh install and the second time around it took 45min and now it works fine but i got a Kernel Panic any ideas?
