    T7200 ideal temps?

well i fixed the problem on my own i applied some Arctic Silver 5 instead of the Dynex Silver Compound from best buy and i did the same thing (tested with handbrake) and the temps never got past 75C for core 1 and 82C for core 2. Idle temps are 46C core 1 and 48C core 2.

    T7200 ideal temps?

Ok so on my last post i said i had done an upgrade to my Dell d620 from a T2300E to T7200 and my question is 83 C for Core #1 and 90 C for Core #2 normal under full load? I checked my heatsink its properly mounted also the thermal paste was applied evenly. Im using Temperature Monitor to tell me the temps but for some reason i don't trust it sometimes core 1 or core 2 get a blank reading. And i would think if the processor was overheating it would throttle no? ps This is while i convert an 800mb avi video to H264 mp4 on handbrake and it uses 98-100% of the processing power but while it did this i just wanted to see if could play a 1080p 5min youtube video simultaneously and it did temps didn't get higher than 90. Oh almost forgot it idles at about 53-58C pls help thank you
  3. Hello all I'm back again after a brief absence, I had my doubts about upgrading the processor on my Latitude D620 from a Core Duo T2300E to a Core 2 Duo T7200. So I took a chance and it worked for me , im writing this so it can get archived in the forum for future reference. Both Cores work using leppy's guide(nothing to modify) and the Processor Frequency is reported at 2.07Ghz despite the fact that its a 2.00Ghz chip. The performance increase was a modest 64% overall according to Geekbench and I picked it up on ebay for $28.00USD. I hope this helps someone in the future, i assume it would work on any cpu upgrade for any current hackintosh.
  4. Success at last thank you leppy700m for ur guide I am now running Snow Leopard 10.6.6 with QE/CI enabled(finally) everything is working airport etc. except the LCD screen but thats no biggie for me since my D620s portability was compromised when my brother broke a hinge and because the battery no longer holds a charge. It is now connected to a 46" HDTV and is being used like a media center for youtube, dvd playback etc. ps I fixed airport and qe/ci in 10.6.6 with voodoohda 2.7.2 http://code.google.com/p/voodoohda/downloads/list but that in turn broke my lcd (black screen doesn't display a thing after the dell bios spalsh screen) but its no big deal for me
  5. ok thank you im buying it

  10. Hello everyone I am fairly new to this Hackintosh scene and I am running into a little problem. Initially my computer would hang after a few minutes but that was resolved already by reinstalling SL .(this post isn't about that) So I just noticed that QE/CI(Graphics Acceleration, correct me if Im wrong) isn't working because when trying to view pictures in the Preview app it just show a blank screen and no picture also when adding a widget there is no ripple effect, I can't watch Youtube videos full screen because they lag and I can't take screenshots i hear the shutter sound but no file is saved to the desktop. So please, please help me, I beg you guys that are far more knowledgeable than I. And again Thanks in Advance Specs: Dell Latitude D620 Intel Core Duo 1.66Ghz T2300 (Both Cores work and its now running 1.66Ghz) 3GB of DDR2 667mhz RAM Broadcom Wi-Fi card (Airport Works) Intel 945GM Chipset Intel 950GMA graphics I used Leppy700m's boot loader D620SLV1.iso (Its installed to the HDD already so i don't need it to boot off of it) And a Genuine Snow Leopard 10.6.3 from BestBuy

    Dell Latitude D620

Hello all I just made my first Hackintosh but I'm having difficulties with it at the moment, after booting up everything works fine for the first couple of minutes but then the system just starts to go downhill from there it gets slow, and by slow i mean youtube videos stutter the dock lags. I had read in some other forums about disabling speedstep in bios which does make it more consistent but i end up with 1.00ghz of 1.66ghz processing power:( please please help. And also sorry if posted this on the wrong forum. Thanks in Advance ps i used leppy700m guide and Snow Leopard 10.6.3 from bestbuy
