Hey guys, I'm new here!

Firstly i wanna apologies for my English -_-

Well, I just wanna know if I can install Mac OSX Snow Leopard on my computer.

I have:

Motherboard: ASRock Wolfdale 1333 -GLAN/M2

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E4500. It Supports MMX, SSE (1, 2, 3, 3S), EM64T

Graphic card: NVidia GeForce 9500 GT 256MB

I've downloaded the hazard DVD but when I boot for installation in safe mode, it sudently reboots and I don't know why.

I've downloaded too a image of snow leopard i iso and burned into a DVD DL. And this DVD boots and when it shows the background topically of Snow Leopard it tells me that it cannot be installed on my computer and don't tell me the reason.

I know that this is illegal, but it was just for trying. If it works, I will buy the original Snow Leopard.

Can someone explain me why this appends?

Another question: Snow Leopard is 64bits?

PS: I don't know if this is the right place to ask this, if I'm wrong, please forgive me and tell me when I should put the post

Thanks a lot

so there's no any MAC OS that I can install on my computer?

Try the nawcom ModCD. You can download it HERE. Make sure you set your BIOS to AHCI and your hard drive is on SATA0. You also probably only want your install hard drive and DVD drive connected while doing this.

Restart your computer and have it boot off the ModCD. When you get to the boot menu swap out the ModCD and put in the SL 10.6.3 retail DVD that you purchased from the Apple Store for $30. I think you then press F5 and it will refresh the menu and now show the Retail DVD. Select it and install. After install when the computer restarts remove the Retail DVD.

You can always buy a new graphics card if that is your only hitch. Just research which ones work and price them at newegg or tigerdirect. A decent card for watching DVDs and online video shouldn't be more than $40 tops.

I don't know how applicable it is to your MoBo but you may want to check out THIS GUY'S experience.

Let us know how it goes.

That is a myth. AHCI mode is not required to install or run OS X, you just have to use the right drivers or injectors/legacy kexts.

I think his board has ICH7, so it's possible there's no AHCI mode anyway, base version ICH7 has no AHCI support:

You wont get any support for your Graphics card. (no support for xx50's)...

No, it's the x150 type cards with shared memory that aren't supported.

I can't find any information about the 9550 though, just old stuff from 2008 announcing the card but no specs.

oh, I am so sorry. My Graphic card is not a NVidia 9550 :S

It's NVidia 9500GT

My bad. Anyway, I can't install Snow Leopard. It starts to install but stops at the beginning :S

Ok, well SL should support that card.

Boot with -v at the boot prompt so you know whats going on. It should show you what kind of error is happening.
