kankraka
I've successfully installed 10.4.7 on my HP dv8000 series laptop.. with a few issues of course. One being I have to load the OnboardATA kext in safeboot every time i want to just boot up, otherwise it hangs on waiting for root device. First boot went great, internal wireless was detected and everything (hell, i even let it talk to apple to make sure it worked) and all was running smooth, it was great after a long night (and a boned windows partition containing 65gb of media) of trying to get osx to work at all costs. Sound doesn't work, minor (for now) issue, I'm not sure if the NIC works, it shows up in network configuration, as does my firewire port. However, after I log in, the wnic doesn't work at all anymore, doesn't show up in network config even though the little 'diamond' shows up beside the time. I'd have to say the biggest problem is having to continuously boot into safe boot just to restart the damn machine. That's slowing progress more than anything. The machine has an ATI chipset, which the iso was patched for, but it doesn't seem to be working correctly. Is there anyfix to any of the problems I'm describing? any ideas? denied
I'll put in a vote that JaS 10.4.7 is really put together well. I loaded it onto my Dell M1210, HP dv2000 (now my main OS X computer), and my old school Dimension 8100 desktop. Very, very usable build. A few issues with some of my oddball hardware, but nothing unexpeted. pp15
I installed JaS 10.4.7 DVD, and I found that after using the osx some time, it will suddenly restart automatically. What's going wrong?
