Hi, could someone recommend me a motherboard that will run snow leopard as close to vanilla as possible? i.e. minimal kexts or a bios mod etc. I've had a look around but I was surprised to see no one seemed to have already asked this question. My only requirements are that it is a skt775 mobo with DDR3 support as I already have these components.

I've just setup a system using the following

Gigabyte EX58-UD5 Mobo (1366 socket)

i7 920

Nvidia 480GTX

6BG Corsair 160MHz RAM

A whole bunch of water cooling goodies.

I setup the BIOS using settings I found in a pdf by googling 'ex58-ud5 hackintosh bios settings'

I installed 10.6.3 no problem using the nawcom bootdisk.

I installed the 10.6.6 update, used hackinstaller to install pcefi 10.6 bootloader and show all files, kext utility etc.

Used a DSDT file someone gave me along with the ALC8xx, fakesmc, intelcpumonitor, iohciblockstorageinjector and superiofamily kexts all in E/E.

Installed graphics using tonymacx86's nvidia installer

Edited my version string to MacPro5.1 and set resolution in boot.plist and smbios.

Rebooted with everything working.

Might be worth looking into comparable Mobos for 775
