jacoweb
Hi, anyone know a solution to fix OSX to show the temp on SSD drives? Normal SATA disk works, but not on my SSD. Thanks.
Taruga
Hi, anyone know a solution to fix OSX to show the temp on SSD drives? Normal SATA disk works, but not on my SSD. Thanks. I use iStat Menus 3 and it shows my SSD´s temps.... but they never change. They are always on 30º C
stefano.85
I use iStat Menus 3 and it shows my SSD´s temps.... but they never change. They are always on 30º C I think neither istat or operating system shows the real temp on ssd drives, IMHO it's impossible that those drives can reach 30°C, probably it takes the temperature of other mechanical drives... Istat desktop widget shows me 0°C on OCZ Vertex 2 SSD Bye
mrmojorisin17
Same problem here with my OCZ Vertex 2 and iStat Menus 2 SSD's temp is always 1°C.

josephien
your ssd will probably be the same as your case temp unless it is sitting against another hdd then it will reach that temp, an ssd temp of 1° is impossible
scrax
I have no temp for my ssd (G+skill falcon) too only the temp of the HD in istat2
Slice
FakeSMC knows nothing about HDD as well as SSD. The temperature is measured by the application itself. If someone knows datasheet and can answer how to measure the temperature, it can be implemented in some opensource application, for example iStatPro. I pass.
