Ok, I am really frustrated now. I have been coming to insanelymac for over a year now for info on my hackintosh setup(s) and virtual machines, as well as getting some useful information about my macs. I don't recall whether I had commented on any threads in the past or whether I was even able to comment on them in the past, but today I have some useful information to contribute to a message thread about my nvidia card with Snow Leopard 10.6.5 and I can't post in the thread.

I really hope there is a good reason behind requiring all users to post 10 messages here before being able to post elsewhere. I do not always have a lot to input because I tend to get things working and move on. I'm not sure I will even get to 10 posts in time for my information to be pertinent as I'm not going to post junk.

I don't know if it's just me or most newbies, but I'm struggling to get to the 10 post target.

I managed to install OSX by reading and experimenting, so didn't need much help (hence the difficulty getting to 10 posts).

Would it be better to just approve members rather than set a 10 post limit? Or maybe ask newbies to post in a certain thread to request approval (then it would be up to a mod to approve/not)?
