Stofchi
Is there any Bluray player software out there at all? My LG BD player works fine and can read the BD disk, but I can't find any software to actually play a movie. Anybody know of any? Or is it a matter of downloading codex for Quicktime or VLC? Gringo Vermelho
VLC works but only on titles that are not protected. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/240134-bluray-player-software/#findComment-1604048 Share on other sites
Stofchi
Yeah I have VLC, but it won't play a regular off the shelf BD movie. You have to rip it into another format. quattrofx
I am using MakeMKV & BDMV Ripper applications for ripping Blu-ray discs to HD and "PLEX" Media streaming Server App. for playing it. With PLEX you can also play the uncompressed m2ts-files from a 1080p-bluray directory directly with an additional MakeMKV Plug-in for PLEX which do the muxing on-the-fly "flawlessly" (depends on your PC Configuration).
