Thanks everyone! I could have never done it without you!

Everything is working, and its a great felling, I have been trying to do this on my computer for months, and have gone over at least 50 attempts.

Ironicly, all the distro's that were supposed to make my life easier never worked, but I-Boot worked without a hich. Including my dualboot, every single thing on my computer is working! Full QE/CI and wireless.

Thanks everyone for your help!

Now, what should I do on my mac?

EVGA X58, 285GTX and a core i7.

Hi Guys,

I'm new to this forum and require some help. I have a Sony Vaio FZ 180E laptop with the below basic specs:

*Intel's latest 2-GHz Core 2 Duo T7300 processor

*Nvidia GeForce 8400M GT

I would like to Install Snow Leopard on the laptop and have it dual boot with Windows 7.

Please can someone point me in the right direction, thanks

I was in the same boat as you, I first tried the kalyway method & that got me to an install, reboot, dead end. So I took a EVGA guide x58, along with ##### from Tonymac's blog & within 6 hours had a 10.6.4 install. It's been fun so far, congrats.

IT's always nice to be able to install Retail, plus, you learn a lot along the way - how to properly install kexts, exactly what drivers your system needs, etc. The distros really aren't a solution, they work for some, and they might be useful for getting your very first Hackintosh up, but the REAL success is in getting your own installation working from retail, and doing whatever mods you have to do yourself.
