Seanster
Hi, I have 10.6.4 installed and the program Preview that I would really like to use to be able to quickly open and view pdf documents and pictures. iPhoto is just to big and takes to long to open. When I try to open a picture all that Preview shows me is a window with a grey background and no picture. I tried to search on Google for fixes and all I have came across is an option to right click and get info then click use Rosetta, the problem with that one is all it gives me the option to do is "Open in 32-bit mode" which doesn't work. It also gave me an option to install an older version of Preview... which I can not find either.. Does anyone know how to get Preview to work properly? Thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/234633-preview-doesnt-show-a-picture/ Share on other sites

Thanks I had that problem no matter what distro I used on my laptop. I thought it was due to my GMA 4500M graphics card. I used a program called Just Looking. Seanster
Hey guys thanks for the replies... I installed JustLooking and I am going to try that out.. it seem pretty good although it shows all the pictures in the folder instead of just the ones I select that seems to be alright and then I still have Preview for pdf files because that seems to be the only thing it will open. Gringo Vermelho
You can extract it from a Leopard install DVD using Pacifist. Alternatively, get video hardware acceleration working on your present install to get Preview working.
