booting retail dvd from chameleon

Hi guys

 

I have installed SL, but after some time i've messed smth up. So now i want to reinstall it. But i dont have install in my usb. Only things that i have is retail dvd ant working chameleon in SL partition.

Is there any way to choose retail dvd in chameleon screen?

What are your specs? If you have an intel setup just download [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url]. Either nvidia, ati, or supported. One of those should work. Burn it to your flash drive or on a disk.

Only if the DVD has been "restored" to a HDD partition using Apple Disk Utility.

Chameleon cannot boot optical media unless it is run from CD.

 

There are several guides on how to make your own boot CD here and elsewhere.

what i think is a "technically bad" way of doing it (though i USED to use it) was it boot off the rebelEFI bootCD, which then allowed me to boot straight to the installer disc by removing its disc and inserting the installer disc

 

note i NEVER installed rebelEFI :):D
