From looking at the HCL it seems like a fair few ATI X1600 cards seem to work with both CI and QE.

Would I be best buying one of these cards? I would dearly like to have the graphics working properly on my MacOS installation, and although I don't really have much money at the moment, I'm tempted to go and buy a card, as long as I can be sure that it will work properly.

Which one do you think I should get ?

Whatever you do, DON'T GET THE X1600.If you're running on AGP, then grab the X800GTO

The X800 is way better than the X1600 performance wise. But, the X1600 only has 2 things over it. Vivo, and shader support. That's all, but the X800 will perform better.

Will it work with the X1600 drivers or you need to install the drivers manually?
