slowdiver Posted July 23, 2006 Share Posted July 23, 2006 hi, just one question: those with the good old intel915-hackintoshs: did anyone of you got his gma 900 with the 5456 vista-beat to work (aero glass, not aero basic)? (please no discussion on 'gma 900' will/will not be supported because of lack of pixelpipelines, t&l and all the other stuff (if you want to discuss this, then please google on it) the gma 900 as well as the 950 *will* definetly be supported by intel for vista, just take a look on the intel-page. ) i tried all the famous or infamous 'tweaks' on the registry, tried the lakepond-driver (black screen, 256 allocated to the gma) - none of that put aero glass to work. maybe someone hacked the lakepond-driver for gma900-users? or something else? The only reason that we're not getting Aero is because Intel is too lazy to write GMA 900 drivers for Vista. slowdiver Posted July 23, 2006 Author Share Posted July 23, 2006 exactly. and gma950, allready fully aero-glass-supported by vista right now, does not have hardware-pixelshaders and t&l, too. thats what i meant with the silly t&l and all other things. you can read meters of google-entries on this thing. the problem is, as stated above: how do we get the lakepond-driver (the gma950etal driver) to work with gma900? the differences between the 2 chipsets are more than little. anybody got a gma900 to work with the lakepond-driver? or managed to hack or tweak it somehow? comeon, we are working on a gma950-basis with our 900s right now - with our hackintoshs of the first hour and osx...
