b2b_dan
Hi, My Powerbook G4 has Tiger on it at the moment, has anyone managed to put snow leopard on there, as far as i'm aware you can't do it because of the Processor? Thanks, Dan. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/222673-few-questions-about-my-g4/ Share on other sites
Moose Tracks
MACTRACKER IS YOUR FRIEND. The maximum OS you can put on a G4 is Leopard (10.5) and if it is under specs for Leopard there are 50 ways you can still install and use Leopard on the unsupported G4. Snow Leopard (10.6) is a big no no. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/222673-few-questions-about-my-g4/#findComment-1498547 Share on other sites

JeanLuc7
You don't tell us what performance and RAM your PB has. If it's below 1 GB of RAM i recommend to stay with Tiger. The same with processor speed. If you are below 1 GHz, you will not be happy with Leopard. Of course you may install Leopard, but you will not like it. Snow Leo supports only Intel machines so there is no way to run it on a G4.
