autoy
Ok, I'd like to know why this happens. I have a laptop with Radeon 9000 (M9), vesa 2 compatible, and on a vmware installation I was able to get the monitor's native resolution 1400x1050x32 with no problems. I have done a native install and when booting -v "Graphics Mode"="1400x1050x32" textmode is at this resolution but upon graphical boot I'll always get 1280x1024, not my monitor native, so I get blurry fonts. Why does this happen and how can it be corrected? thankyou. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/2212-weird-display-resolution/ Share on other sites

judy
You're sure it's beginning with 1400x1050 and then switching to 1280x1024? Because the VESA "driver" shouldn't be able to do this.
