guiyoforward
This is a nice 12.1 widescreen dual core machine with intel GMA950 graphics or . I wonder if anyone has tried OS X on it, I bet it most things work out of the box. It does come with unsupported Intel WiFi adapter and 256MB NVIDIA® GeForceTM Go 7400 with TurboCache4 Graphics Card is an option. Would dual core work or would it stutter? What do you think? http://www.dell.com/content/products/produ...;l=en&s=dhs Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/21772-is-the-dell-xps-m1210-a-12-inch-macbook/ Share on other sites
sandmanfvrga
From what I have read duo whether it is Intel or AMD just stutters, which is a shame. So I am not saying your choice sucks, but your dual cores would not be used. BUT I think in time this might be fixed so getting a dual core would be great for the future. shadowmoses
I'd go for the MacBook without doubt unless you really need the dedicated graphics etc, with the MB you are saving the hassle of hacked OSX and the build quality is far superior.....not to mention it looks better, ShadoW Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/21772-is-the-dell-xps-m1210-a-12-inch-macbook/#findComment-144135 Share on other sites

Maine_Coon
vista does not require dedicated video card, it runs on my Dell 700m just fine. m1210 is a good macbook, especially w/nvidia card, presuming macvidia guys will release driver with QE support one day. modifiedmind
I am runnig OS X on a M1210 and it runs fine. I have the nvidia card and the macvidia drivers work but dont support QE or CI "yet". I have a sigmatel audio card and there are a number of posts on the topic of sigmatel audio but I havent gotten mine working yet. The camera doesnt work. at least I havent figured out a way to make it work yet. Let me know what you decide. If you end up with the xps I would like to keep tabs on anyone else using one andd the progress orf getting everything to work.
