imacken
I can see the other 4 (Windows) PCs on my network at home in 'Shared' in Finder, but I can't connect to any of them? Any ideas?
mdnz01
Maybe you need to enter your credentials first (There's a small button for that). Also, make sure that there are folders shared on those PCs.
imacken
Thanks for that. I don't know what you mean by 'enter credentials'! Could you explain? Yes, there are folders to share, as I have no problem connecting and sharing when I use Windows 7 on the same PC.
mdnz01
By credentials I mean a Windows username/password. There is a tab called "log in as" or something similar when you click on a computer from the finder.
imacken
Thanks, but it doesn't get that far. Just says connection failed. Weirdly, I can't even see any of the PCs on the network now at all! However, all the 4 PCs can see my 'Mac' and connect to it absolutely fine. Any ideas?

Any ideas? i had a similar issue which i sovled by changing my network name on all the windows pc's to"WORKGROUP",also have you tired to connect by going to GO in the menubar then down to "connect to server"then use "smb://(pc's name or ip address) if the name doesn't work the ip address usually does ei."smb://192.168.1.103"
imacken
Well, you're a genius! That worked. I just connect using GO/Connect to server/'SMB://PC-NAME'. Thank you.
