avian
Im thinking of downgrading from an amd x2 3800, which is working okay ith osx, apart from the stuttering when both cores are used (I need to use cpus=1)... and buying a Pentium D930 3.0Ghz. What worries me is that I've seen a few people with intel D805's having the same stutter problem, meaning it isnt totally isolated to X2's... so I was wondering if the same has occurd to any D930 owners, or are they considered safe? sandmanfvrga
I think you need to just stay with what you got. You are right, the stuttering is something affecting duel cores from AMD and Intel. Maybe in time that will be fixed. BretMan
I have a 930 without any stuttering problems whatsoever, so its not related to the CPU. thrunner
I've seen a few people with intel D805's having the same stutter problem, meaning it isnt totally isolated to X2's...Not really sure if that is true, especially if one is using an Intel chipset (eg 945,955, 975). The only one seems to be this: http://forum.osx86project.org/index.php?sh...mp;#entry135111 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/21306-does-anyone-with-a-pentium-d930-cpu-have-stuttering-problems/#findComment-140896 Share on other sites

chevy2410
I'm running Pentium D930 and both cores are seen in OSX and no studdering problems at all. It's a pretty fast chip! I'm very happy with it.
