Windows04
Hi , There are many topics about this adapter on this forum, but none of them gives me a clear answer... I have a Core i7 hackintosh, thanks to digital_dreamer and his script (http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=185097) and i have a Radeon 4870 XFX graphics card installed (2 x DVI and 1 x S-video). The S-video connector doesn't work out of the box so I was thinking to buy the DVI to S-video adapter so i could connect it to my second DVI port. Does anybody have tried that, fail or success? I know apple says that the adapter is only for their computers, but there are people who say it works with their graphics card in a hackintosh. I would like to know if it works for my card. Also, is it true that this adapter only supports DVI-I? Not that it is a big deal, because the connectors on the 4870 are DVI-I...; Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/210816-apple-dvi-to-s-video-adapter-and-radeon-4870/ Share on other sites

el Kabong
So long as the DVI port supports DVI-I you can use anyone's adapter. It's a physical adapter, no magic. DVI-I has both digital and analog, you need analog for S-video.
