Changing resolution and refresh rate without using Callisto

Hi,

I know that there is a thread here about changing refresh rate without using Callisto, is there anyway to also change resolution without using Callisto and still use ATINDRV, cause I heard that ATINDRV gives us more features than Callisto

If it could be for people not complient with Apple's video specs, there would be no need for Callisto. If you know there's a thread, post it so people can help you.

Of course, it's possible, if you have a nVidia card, Intel integrated video or an ATI X1600 or X1800. If you don't fall in any of these categories and if you're using an ATI card, you're stucked with Callisto.

Hi,

this ATI X1600 you talk about, is it PCI ex version or AGP one ? Cause my mainboard here limit me to use no higher than AGP 8x

Both.

If you have the patience to read that (I know, 51 pages ), you'll see most of these people use PCI-e cards, but there are some with AGP cards too.
