Want to start a thread to see if we can get these going. What I've found so far with others is that without an earlier AppleIntelIntegradedFramebuffer.kext the new drivers won't work. In my case (Dell gx620) a black screen just after the login screen tries to initialize. After swaping out the kext the new drivers load, but no QE/CI so its not an option.

The Info.plist in the new 4.7 AppleIntelIntegratedFramebuffer.kext is pretty much the same as the older ones but for one exception. It lists com.apple.iokit.IOACPIFamily as a dependancy in the "OSBundleLibraries" section.

I noticed when I tried to boot using ALL of the 10.4.7 kexts that IOACPI family had issues loading. Perhaps that would explain my changing to an earlier version of AppleIntelIntegratedFramebuffer.kext works.

Perhaps the new 10.4.7 drivers have a dependancy in IOACPI family for full functionality.

Well, thats all I know for now. Chime in if you have anything to add.

Yes - Same for me. I'm talking about adding using the 4.7 kexts. The update doesn't include these - you have to download the full update from apple and extract them with pacifist. System.kext and IOFirewirewall.kext has to be replace with an earlier ones right off the bat.

What I haven't done is try booting with just the new GMA950 stuff added to my 4.6 Extensions directory.
