retroz Posted July 2, 2006 Share Posted July 2, 2006 Have the $$$ and am wondering between the two...same price.....MB a bit stronger CPU, iMAC stronger GPU for Final Cut.... Neither have PCMIA expansion so no FW800 speeds. I ask this as I am leary of my system....add one piece of software and suddenly something can happen like no more internet, or iDVD stops working. Wondering if it's time to move on..... Don't forget, Mac is now fixing the staining on the white MB's. Sure, the iMac might have a slightly stronger GPU, but I'd sacrifice some graphical power for mobility. If you need to use it on the go, well, you can't do that with an iMac without being weird.
