UnixLinux
I'm trying to install OSX Tiger on a computer that was given to me (It meets OSX HCL). After Darwin loads and I get the gray screen with the circle thinngy it starts the text loading screen and then it stops with a Unix command prompt where I can run some Unix commands. This is a PrePatched DVD i'm using and I'm trying to get this installed Help please. Deviant0ne
You could try burning your DVD at a slower, more precise speed. It seems to me your install DVD (possibly even your image) didn't burn correctly, though there could be a slew of other causes. That's where I would start; I had the same problem and it turned out to be the image I had. "Pre-patched" as in "without any patches applied", as in "original restore Tiger DVD"? You can't install that! Go get yourself a patched iso. Colonel
"Pre-patched" as in "without any patches applied", as in "original restore Tiger DVD"?You can't install that! Go get yourself a patched iso. I think what UnixLinux means by pre-patched is that it has already been patched.
