Yahoo! Messenger is a program that allows you to see when your friends log onto the internet. You can then chat, send files, and more with each other. It also includes webcam support, calendars, mail, personals, Growl notifications system and more.

WHAT'S NEW

Version 3.0b1:

* Universal Binary

* Entirely new user interface written in Cocoa designed specifically for the Mac OS X operating system

* Yahoo! Avatars and Display Images

* Custom stealth settings

* Webcam support, compatible across PCs and Macs

* Custom Status messages, including links to music tracks

* Animated sign-in, sign-out, and contact list

* All new sound effects

* Visual notifications with support for the Growl global notification system

* Alerts for Yahoo! Calendar, Mail and Personals

* Coming soon: In the future, support for interoperability with Windows Live ™ (MSN) Messenger

And working here :). Will see if it's stable enough for normal use. Oh, this isn't a chat client war :(

Maybe it's just me, but the voip feature in YM! is terrible. I'd rather use Skype for voice purposes. I haven't used the cam feature though. All my friends have cams but never have it connected and never use it :P. Then again, I can't use my Intel webcam on this hackintosh.

This seems to be the only app that my logitech webcam (4000 pro) works with on my hackintosh.
