chevy2410
Hey all, I finally installed OSX 10.4.6 nativly and it's pretty awesome! The speed is just fantastic. The system is as follows: P5LD2-VM/DH mobo Pentium D 930 CPU 1gb DDR2 667 dual Channel Ram Western Digital 200gb SATA HD Liteon SOHW 812s DVDRW drive Everything worked right out of the box except sound. Ethernet working, USB 2.0 working, SATA2 working. I can't seem to get the sound working. Has anybody with the same mobo able to get sound working at all? Or does anyone have an idea why it doesn't and how it can possibly be corrected? The other thing was that I can't seem to get the time set correctly. It doesn't seem to want to let me. Has anyone come across this issue? Mebster
I found this, haven't really looked into it as don't have much time but see if it means anything to you. Buying Asus P5LD2-VM Also check this out. Think you're one is the Intel ICH7 HD Audio. The Notes & Quirks seem to go with the link I added above. chevy2410
Still not getting any sound. I don't know if I'm doing right or not. Is there a guide around that someone can point me to? Again I have a P5LD2-VM/DH mobo. I went into system prefs and then the sound tab and looked for the output tab and nothing is listed. No devices found. I should have something in there for there to be sound, right? rkwok
Hi Chevy, Try this: http://forum.osx86project.org/index.php?sh...ppleAzaliaAudio also to get 2- channel sound you have to move AppleHDA.kext out of the Extensions Folder I updated to 10.4.7 this evening and the sound wasn't working as well, just follow the procedure listed on the link and you should be fine. good luck! Hi Rkwok, I have to say that I have succesfully got audio now working. So it seems most everything on this mobo works. I hope someone comes up with a patch for input audio. Thanks a lot for all the help. Now do you know anything about the clock not displaying the correct time for my location? I open "date and time" and then check off "set date and time automatically" then I get the spin colour wheel, it stops and then nothing. No time change. Now if I do it manually and change time, then save it, it reverts back to what I just had. Odd I tell ya! BTW. I also update to 10.4.7 last night and now problems to report.
