I have tried many different ways of installing OSX but failed. The furtherest I got was a grey apple logo and the spinny loading icon. My setup is: - Gigabyte GA G31M-ES2L Motherboard - Intel Core 2 Duo Processor 2.93 Ghz LGA775 3M Cache 1066FSB #E7500 - Seagate 1000GB SATA 3Gb/s 32mb cache HDD - Oldish DVD drive (will read most DVD/CD types it says writemaster on the front if that helps. I don't have any details on it) - 4GB Ram I used boot-132 generic and that just didn't do anything. Then I downloaded a OSX install ISO with boot-132 already on it. That gave me the grey apple loading screen. It lasts for about 1 1/2 mins and then restarts. When I use the generic boot-132 and then the other install disc together I get a message that lasts about 1 second saying: " Attempting to determine CPU Multiplier. If system reboots, RDMSR 198h causes a * fault. Determined CPU: FSB multiplier to be 11 Measuring TSC frequency (e.g. CPU speed) CPU runs at 2933.407033 MHz BUS must therefore run at 266.673366" * Not sure if something was supposed to be written there I missed the edge of the screen. After this message the computer shows the grey apple screen then reboots. Can anyone help me??? It sounds like you have tried using a 10.5.x guide with SL, which had some issues. I've attempted Sk1ndh33t's guide, but when booting the installer I get a weird error (happens too quickly to note what it says) and then the screen glitches up and it freezes. For reference, I also have an ATI Radeon HD 4850. Someone help? I think you must burn this ISO to a CD for it to work, you can burn it with Window or Linux as well as a Mac.
