joesintrini
Hi everybody, i write a post because i already don't know what else could i try to do to fix my problem, i've been able to have my configuration working properly, but not anymore, and i'm not conscious to have touched anything, my hardware is Gigabyte ap35 ds3p Mobo, intel 3Gig core2duo micro, asus 8800gt 512 graphic card, in a 10.5.4 os, with nvinject 0.2.1 driver for Asus, Does anyone have an idea what could i do to restore this problem? i haven't touched the bios settings, for my self, but i've been trying to install Snow in other partition, so I think maybe the boot loader could have change my bios settings, i have a sparseimage from carbon copy cloner, and even if a restore that image I have max refresh rate 85Hz, the monitor works great in pc partition, so it's not a monitor problem. I tried a efi string install, netkas efi install, and no one of them work in my resolution. Thanks a lot for the help!! Dr. Hurt
Are you sure your monitor supports 100 Hz? 100 HZ is VERY high and can literally burn your monitor. joesintrini
Hi, I comment what i´ve done, i took my original Kalyway 10.5.2 to reinstall the Os in a proof partition, to check if the problem came from a software source, i installed the os and the original drivers i had to that system, nvinject 0.2.0 (needless to say it worked once upon a time..), and the problem still persist, y decided to try to find the origin of the problem in the bios, i´ve checked all the settings of my bios and change them, writting how it was and how it is now and, nothing changes, same problem in 10.5.2, 10.5.4, 10.6 and 10.6.1, so somehow it´s a hardware problem, i guess it´s not a monitor(CRT) problem because still works at 100 hz in my Xp partition. i don´t know what more could i do to resolve my problem, i find nothing usefull in the forum, please, some lead or anything what problem might be Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/196665-refresh-rate-problem/#findComment-1333826 Share on other sites

joesintrini
It worked @100Mhz before in OS X? Check your EDID:Post the output..... ioreg -l -wo | grep -i edid Hi nvFlash, yes! it worked fine in 100mhz in 10.5.2 and 10.5.4 since the begin of instalations with nvinject, and still working fine at 100mhz in the xp partition i´ll investigate what is the EDID and what can i do to resolve the problem, but while i do so i put you my output. i guess something wrong just seeing the hex string.... $ ioreg -l -wo | grep -i edid | | | | | "IODisplayEDID" = <ffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff fffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff fffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff ffffffffffffffffff> Thanks a lot for your time!
