autoy
Ok, after trying Sleepless for a day it certainly doesn't seem to work. My power settings are set to never do HD disconnect but still, I get sleep after a while of closed lid. I dunno, it could be that osx86 has a limited ACPI functionality at this moment... Anybody had sucess?
jegabla
Mmm.. do I have to leave sleepless app open for it to work?
tpcadm
To disable sleep with closed lid: 0. plug in power adapter 1. launch SleepLess.app 2. at the first launch enter admin name and password to load required kext 3. uncheck "Allow sleep with lid closed" 4. don't quit app 5. close lid and enjoy On the apple's 'books system will be powerdown after 4 minutes if you use it without power adapter. I don't know how it works with intel's. External monitor If you use external monitor and want you portable not to sleep with lid closed: 1) launch SleepLess, uncheck "Allow sleep with lid closed" 2) attach external monitor 3) wait 10 seconds 4) now you can close lid and work with your external monitor only To unplug monitor: 1) open the lid 2) unplug external monitor
jegabla
Yep, mine is into sleep after 4 minutes. Ok, so I guess I have to leave sleepless open whenever i close the lid, however the "remove icon from dock" is not working. Thanx for the tips.
