Look to see if you have this line in your System Profiler>Logs>Kernel.log This chews up 11 seconds on my boot time! ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin::start - waitForService(resourceMatching(AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement) timed out Please Help! dparada78 Posted September 9, 2009 Share Posted September 9, 2009 Try removing it...dont know if that will work....the kext is inside the plugins folder of ioplatformpluginfamily.kext...right click on it and show package contents...failing that it could be a gfx issue...what gfx card do you have? Try puting some kexts for graphic crad, or Efi strings I was messing aroound with that ACPI almost 3 weeks, when i was insatlling SL, until i found it out that it was tha Graphoc card.
