Satelman
Yes, I've tried it today, and I can say the results are great: Vista Ultimate Edition will run on my iMac 17" 1.83GHz !! Hope it helps. Kolenka
I ran it a couple days ago on the MBP, and it just said that there were two devices that weren't supported (nothing new, actually, they were the devices that don't work in XP). Other than that, it said everything would work just fine. Bartboy919
Ok. It works, but does it say that aero glass will work? or any of the other things? nevermind1331
Ok. It works, but does it say that aero glass will work? or any of the other things? vista will work with aero on all the new macs. intels 950 is supported (suspected that all 900s will be supported), so there should be no issue. i have vista running on my imac with aero right now (beta of course) and by running i mean installed, certainly not being used Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/17798-windows-vista-upgrade-advisor/#findComment-119674 Share on other sites
INFNITE
i wonder if Vista support will be built right into Leopard Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/17798-windows-vista-upgrade-advisor/#findComment-119831 Share on other sites
moksha
Apple would be pretty dumb not to do that, given that Leopard will be released around the time Vista will be (if it stays on schedule) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/17798-windows-vista-upgrade-advisor/#findComment-120244 Share on other sites
hatoncat
Leopard will provide official support for installing Windows XP and Vista, however, Apple will continue to not provide support for the usage of that environment. Apple cannot support users that chose to use another operating system. INFNITE
i don't mind if Apple doesn't support the usage of Windows, but I do want Apple to release more polished hardware drivers (for example, support for scrolling using the trackpad and support for iSight) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/17798-windows-vista-upgrade-advisor/#findComment-123262 Share on other sites
