Ne0N
but apparently the GMA 950 stuck at 64MB doesn't meet the requirements for Aero. You wrong! Please read this article: Windows Vista Hardware... George Elliott
Even in the US we pay taxes on subscription TV services (cable, satellite) but only to subscribe to it, we don't get charged to actually watch it. Free TV (local broadcast) is still free, and not taxed. =) Sorry to jump on this one after 10 days but I've not been on the site in a while. The tax that John the Geek's friend is refering to is a TV license fee and most of it goes to the BBC. It goes towards paying for programs like Dr. Who, Top Gear BBC natural history programs (Life on earth, walking with dinosaurs and others of this kind), Little Britain and many more varied programs. Here's the thing though, you get to watch each of these programs from start to finish without any "messages" and without massive product placement. Even our commercially funded channels take the time to produce programs where they know that there is going to be a commercial break in them and shoot the programs to fit around the breaks, not just chops someone off mid sentence. Now I've been in the States and see the free local TV service that is available there, and I know which I'd prefer. Nice. =) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/17596-apple-releases-macbook-for-just-1099/page/5/#findComment-120401 Share on other sites
